Malaga, a 2,700 year-old city, is one of the oldest cities in the world. Originally built by the Phoenicians around 770 BC, it became a part of the Carthaginian Empire during the 6th century BC, the Roman Empire in 218 BC, and remained a part of the Roman Empire, until its fall in 600 AD.
